2005 AccesSportAmerica Mayor's Cup Regatta
Competitive outrigger canoe races bringing together people of all abilities
40 Corporate and Philanthropic Teams participated in the 2005 AccesSportAmerica Mayor's Cup Regatta on Sunday, June 27 on the Charles River. The Regatta, held under the auspices of Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the City of Boston, raised $150,000 to benefit AccesSportAmerica.
Boston Business Journal Publisher Michael Olivieri was Chair. Debby Belichick, Deborah Ciolfi, Gravestar Incorporated President and Stephen Spinetto, City of Boston Commissioner for Disabilities, were Co-Chairs. Bill Yates is Founding Chair of the Regatta now in its second year. Gary Piantedosi and CB Sands-Bohrer were Race Day Co-Chairs..
On-shore activities and an Awards Ceremony make the day action-packed and fun-filled.
