AccesSportAmerica Auction at Boston Harbor Hotel: Raises Funds, Awareness

L-R - Boston Harbor Hotel General Manager Paul Jacques, Perry and Robin Traquina from Wayland, Ken Abrams, Marianne Leone Cooper and Academy Award winner Chris Cooper at the 2009 Auction for AccesSportAmerica held on Friday evening, March 27 in the Wharf Room of Boston Harbor Hotel at Rowes Wharf, Boston. The Traquinas and Coopers served as Honorary Chairs. Over 200 guests attended the benefit which raised over $150,000 exceeding last year's record of funds raised. The five star Boston Harbor Hotel hosted the evening so that all funds raised would directly support AccesSportAmerica's mission to inspire greater function and fitness for children and adults living with disabilities through high-challenged sports. The Silent Auction and Blinky Raffle kicked off the gala evening followed by the Live Auction with Auctioneer WRKO's Mariellen Burns and guest Auctioneers among them FOX 25's Butch Stearns. The Evening Buffet and Dancing with The John Penny Band and Ben Cesare followed. Annually, AccesSport reaches over 1,500 athletes in partnership with organizations and schools. Cindy Loo photo
